Boomtown Fair festival, an immersive and intimate, theatrically-led festival takes place on the 12th-16th August 2020.
Where better to spend 5 days of escapism, creativity and music? Boomtown Fair chapter 12 New Beginnings of course, and Full Circle are here to give you the low down on what you’ll need to take on your travels to the stunning Matterley Estate near Winchester, Hampshire.
Boutique, bring your own and pre-pitched camping is available at Boomtown, there’s family camping and quiet camping available too. You can also take a campervan on site with three campervan fields to choose from.
If you are coming later on in the weekend you can always reserve a space in a chosen spot.
Top 10 Tips for packing for Boomtown fair
It really helps to be organised so be sure to write separate packing lists for tent equipment, food stuffs, clothes and toiletries,
Keep clean all weekend long from the comfort of your tent with a Full Circle Eco-friendly festival survival kit , packed in a cotton bag to hang it in safe off of the tent floor. A trolley is a great way to transport your bits from your car to the campsite and later on to carry children, blankets or booze around! Buy or borrow one for the festival weekend and it will be a great help.
Do not bring or buy plastic water bottles, but do keep hydrated! Take your reusable bottles and refill where you need them, we love Raw bottles for their sleek design and practicality.
Open fires and BBQ’s are not permitted on site but camping stoves using small, disposable gas canisters are permitted as long as they do not scorch the grass, however in very hot and dry weather conditions they do reserve the right to prohibit the use of these for safety reasons so always have back up food packed and perhaps a safety ‘food budget’.
Due to licence conditions glass is not permitted so if you wish to bring alcohol the limit is 16 x 440ml cans of lager/cider/beer OR 17 x 250ml cans of premix spirit drinks OR a 3-litre box of wine OR 7 litres of cider/lager/beer in cans. No plastic please!
When planning your outfits, make room for any eventuality that the British summertime can throw your way, layers to strip off or on are what’s needed and you’ll have a fantastic time. Bring wellies AND flipflops!
Solar lighting for tents are a wonderful idea, helps you find the way in the dark and for those night time toilet trips a head lamp comes in ultra handy.
