Top 10 Tips for packing for Black deer festival
It’s a great idea to write packing lists for tent equipment, food stuffs, clothes and toiletries, it can be easy to miss out some important home comforts without one.

Black Deer are a cashless festival and your RFID wristband is the only accepted payment method on site. Don’t worry about adding too much credit to your wristband - you can get a refund within a specified timescale after the festival and if you need to top up whilst there, there will be top up stations dotted around the park.
Do keep hydrated! Take your reusable bottles and refill where you need them, we love Raw bottles and encourage all festival goers to use refillable solutions! No single use plastic please!
Glass is not permitted, you can take alcohol onto the campsite but maximum quantities per person apply: 24 Beer/Cider/Pre-mixed RTDs, 1.5l Wine, 1.l Spirits but must be in cans or bag in boxes, avoid plastic bottles if you can or recycle ones you’ve already used.
Campfires are not allowed due to safety reasons but small camping stoves under 500ml and small portable BBQs are should you wish to cook some of your own food, we’d suggest you breakfast at camp and then sample whats to offer in the park throughout the day, immerse yourself into that Americana culture and you won’t be disappointed.
You never know what the Great British weather may bring so dress for any eventuality and layer up. Bring wellies AND flipflops!
Those night time toilet trips can be tricky so a head lamp comes in ultra hand and help find your way in the dark with by marking up your tent with solar lights.
The general campsite is said to be the beating heart of the festival and it’s also where under-the-radar acoustic sets will exclusively take place. Once inside be sure to keep a listen out for the whispers!
